Dungeon Defenders: My take on the Aquanos cut scene

When I moved back to my hometown of Gainesville, Florida, I thought I'd be leaving the Sequential Art-rich world that was Savannah, Georgia behind. Imagine my very pleasant surprise to discovery that there was something even "trendier" waiting for me back at home.

Trendy Entertainment, the video game company that brings us "Dungeon Defenders" had apparently opened up shop in my hometown during my absence, and I was very lucky to befriend some of their top artists like Danny Araya, Jordan Kerbow and fellow SCAD Sequential Art alumni and Trendy Art Director, Ben Greene.

Thanks to Ben, I was given the approval to do a little test art based off one of the levels in their expansion pack, Dungeon Defenders: The Lost Eternia Shards. The original cinematic illustrations were done by Danny Araya, and are the set-up for the Aquanos level.

This is the first time I have EVER, EVER, EVER done digital illustration work. By so, I mean using souly the computer and my Cintiq 21UX to fully illustrate and render. Hope I did a good job.

Enjoy!
